For something comfortable, a Golf Comfortline 1.8 TSI automatic, in a rather lovely brown colour.
For something a bit sportier, the Nissan Juke Nismo RS. It’s a bit of an acquired taste looks wise, but I think it looks great. Just the right amount of bonkers.
And, for a little bit of both, the Kia Forte SX Turbo.
Only about 800 dollars more than the Golf, and for that, you get what’s basically the top-spec car. Yes, I selected the automatic. Fuck the police.

I personally agree with you about the Golf TSI. I absolutely love it. It’s one of my favorite new cars. I, however, would rather have it in the lovely Silk Blue Metallic.
Also, for the same price, I would probably consider a Mini Cooper Hardtop 4-door with the 1.5L turbo 3-cylinder and the 6 speed automatic.

I’d take a Fiesta ST, or a BRZ. Maybe a Corolla iM thingy if it’s fun.

I’m really liking the new Chevy Cruze and Sonic hatchbacks. I’d take an RS Sonic or the new Cruze with the diesel engine, as getting over 40+ MPG would be awesome. Especially when I have to due a 120 mile round trip for one appointment tomorrow.

If you forced me at gunpoint to buy a reasonably priced new car I’m fairly certain I’d take the hit...
